Results of the International Forum of Young Designers and the Final of the Generation NEXT 2024 Competition
On 17-20 October 2024 at the International Exhibition of Fashion Industry in Expoforum (St. Petersburg) there was held the Forum of Young Designers and the final of the International Competition ‘Generation NEXT’. 407 applications were submitted from students and graduates of 20 educational institutions of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan.
The competition stand presented 86 projects of textile, costume and graphic designers. 70 finalists had the opportunity to participate in the business programme: to listen to lectures, seminars and master classes of experts, to learn the opinion of consumers about their works within the framework of the Public Jury voting.
Contest experts: Maya Kuznetsova (Artistic Director of the Generation NEXT contest, author and head of the project Studio of Costume Art ARTISIA), Irina Seluta (director of fashion house LiliaKisselenko), Ilya Tikhonov (head and creator of the combined editorial and advertising agency Modanews.ru + moda247. ru), Valentina Kuznetsova (editor-in-chief of RIA Moda, vice-president of the MODA.RF Federation), Anton Alfer (CEO of ALFER.GROUP, president of the MODA.RF Federation). ru), Valentina Kuznetsova (Editor-in-Chief of RIA Moda, Vice-President of MODA.RF Federation), Anton Alfer (CEO of ALFER.GROUP, President of MODA.RF Federation), Maxim Krylov (expert of the art-cluster ‘Tavrida’, member of the expert council of ‘Rosmolodezh’), Nadezhda Zainakova (General Director of CJSC ‘Sharkan-krikotazh’) chose the most relevant, original and promising projects.

The international exhibition of light and textile industries «Fashion Industry» was successfully held in St. Petersburg from March 21 to 24, 2024.
The exhibition was attended by manufacturing companies and dealers of women's and men's clothing, knitwear, outerwear, accessories and other light industry products from different cities of Russia, the Republic of Belarus, Mongolia and Italy.
For the first time, such companies as Stiltex, Eunion Capital, NERUM and Woolen Watercolor, as well as the Association of Textile Workers of Russia were presented at the exhibition.
Collections of women's and men's clothing and knitwear were presented at the stands of companies from the Republic of Belarus OVAL (TM GERRY ROSS) and Achosa, Russian companies Sharkansky Knitwear (TM OLSARRI), Bergamo, BOOM, Belcanto, LitFut, Factory Elizaveta, TD Imperial, Factory PALLA, EKOMARA, Lyudmila Romanova and others. Homewear and home textiles were presented by Agata and Dream Factory. Accessory group products were offered by Nina Vikont, Roberta Firenze, Mir Beauty, Sumkov, LADA, On+Ona and other companies.
Participants and visitors noted an interesting business program with seminars and reports, which were full of useful practical information from experts in the field of fashion, style and marketing. The program events were devoted to trends in the development of the fashion industry in modern conditions, sales marketing, and solutions to current problems of domestic clothing production.
